Our approach

Quality, safety and regulatory compliance are pillars of our business.

We are committed to sourcing and distributing products that meet recognised international and local safety requirements, while continuously expanding our range to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Our range of safety work gloves includes products with CE certification, tested and certified through CTC, supporting compliance with applicable European personal protective equipment requirements. Selected products also carry DOSH-SIRIM approval, providing an additional level of assurance for customers requiring approved safety gloves for the Malaysian market.

Certification

Two schemes, one standard of assurance

CE

CE certification via CTC

Job Master safety work gloves are tested and certified through CTC, a notified body for personal protective equipment. Certification supports compliance with the European PPE Regulation and covers the mechanical and thermal performance standards below.

  • EN 388:2016 mechanical risks — all coated work gloves
  • EN 407 thermal risks — 22-313F family, 33-906C
DOSH

DOSH-SIRIM approval

For customers who require approved safety gloves in Malaysia, selected articles carry approval from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, certified through SIRIM. These are marked in the catalogue with the DOSH-SIRIM stamp.

  • 22-101S — grey nylon, black nitrile sandy palm
  • 22-202 — black polyester, black nitrile palm
  • 22-313F — cut-resistant Level F, nitrile foam palm
  • 22-313F-15 — the same glove with a 15-inch extended cuff
  • TN22-303S — impact-resistant, TPR back of hand

Standards explained

Reading the marks on the cuff

Every certified glove carries pictograms with a performance code. Here is what each one means, and where Safeline articles sit.

  1. 1

    Abrasion resistance 4

Cycles of abrasion before the coating breaks through, on a scale of 1–4. Level 4 is the most durable.

  2. 2

    Cut resistance, coupe X

Rotating-blade test, 1–5. Marked X when the blade dulls against high-performance yarn — read position 5 instead.

  3. 3

    Tear resistance 4

Force needed to tear the glove once a cut has started, 1–4.

  4. 4

    Puncture resistance 3

Force needed for a stylus to puncture the palm, 1–4.

  5. 5

    ISO 13997 cut level F

    Straight-blade cut test in newtons: A = 2 N up to F = 30 N. Safeline 22-313F, 22-313F-15, S32-18B and AP-302 all rate F, the highest level.

EN 407 — thermal risks

Six characters, one for each thermal hazard, always in this order. Each is a level 1–4 — higher is better — or X, meaning that hazard was not tested.

X1XXXX

Reads as: tested for contact heat only, achieving level 1 on the EN 407 scale. The five Xs were not tested.

  1. 1Burning behaviourX
  2. 2Contact heat1
  3. 3Convective heatX
  4. 4Radiant heatX
  5. 5Small splashes of molten metalX
  6. 6Large quantities of molten metalX

22-313F rates contact heat level 1 · 33-906C rates level 2
